The language used to develop web pages is called HyperText Markup Language (HTML). HTML is the language interpreted by a browser. Web Pages are also called HTML documents. HTML is a set of special codes that can be embedded in text to add formatting ad linking information. HTML is specified as TAGS in an HTML documents (i.e. the web pages).
HTML is a language which creating web pages. web pages will be creating HTML document using HTML markup tags. HTML is a markup language, which has a collection of markup tags.
HTML tags are words surrounded by angle brackets like <html> , <body> .
The tags normally come in pairs, like <html> and </html> .
The first tag in a pair is the start tag; the second tag is the end tag.
In the example above <html> is the start tag while </html> is the end tag.
